About

Hi, I’m Emma, a writer, artist and teacher living in Granada, Spain.

After almost ten years working as a lawyer across three continents, I was living a life that looked successful on the outside, and I was miserable. I quit my job without a plan except to move to Spain, take some time off and try to work out what to do next.

Two years on, I’m building a life that feels meaningful to me, day by day. I don’t have all the answers (and I probably never will), but I’m living my values and I’ve gotten much better at showing up for myself and my community in the way I want to.

Sketches from Granada is my attempt to share my experiences and what I’ve learned along the way, in the hope that it helps someone who’s currently where I was. I hope these newsletters engage your curiosity about what’s possible, and help you start dreaming about something better.
